Springbank Distillery is the only distillery in Scotland to carry out 100% of the production process on one site. For them, this means unrivalled quality control and the opportunity to pour decades of experience and passion into every drop of their world-class whisky.
This delightful 21 Year Old opens with a citrus, pineapple note, leading into a sweet, syrpy palate that finishes with orange zest and caramel and a hint of campfire embers.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of citrus zest, pineapple upside down cake and fudge introduce this year’s Springbank 21 year old. There is a savoury element in notes of baked ham and tomato vine leaves, with subtle peat smoke coming through on the nose.
Taste: A tropical influence comes through on the palate in notes of ripe mango, dried coconut and papaya, opening up to notes of liquorice, cola syrup, digestive biscuits, honey and a slight earthiness.
Finish: A long finish with notes of orange zest, campfire embers and caramel.
Maturation: 45% Bourbon, 20% Sherry, 20% Rum, 15% Port
Springbank Distillery
Springbank distillery is the oldest independent, family-owned distillery in Scotland. Legal distillation began in 1828. The chairman is Hedley Wright, the great, great grandson of John Mitchell, the first legal distiller of Springbank whisky.
There are a few Scottish distilleries that still malt their own barley but Springbank is the only distillery which malts 100% of its own barley, using the traditional floor maltings. The whole production process: malting, milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling, happens on the one site in Campbeltown. This is unique in Scotland.
Three malt whiskies are produced at Springbank distillery, each with its own character. Springbank which is 80% of production, is lightly peated and distilled two and a half times. Longrow is more heavily peated and distilled two times. Hazelburn is unpeated and distilled three times.
