A distinguised and characterful blended malt sourced primarily from a distillery located just north of Campbeltown's Kinloch Park. This release has been matured in a refill hogshead, allowing the region's distinctive coastal spirit to shine with subtle oak influence and layered complexity.

Teaspooned malts occupy a quietly fascinating sub-category of Scotch whisky. Originally created to protect the identity of distillery stock, the addition of a small amount of secondary malt allows producers to safeguard provenance while maintaining the integrity, quality and character of the original spirit. For the independent bottling world, these whiskies offer a chance to present rare spirits with unmistakable heritage, whilst preserving the discretion that surrounds their origins.

Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is rich and inviting, earthy and moist, with the comforting aroma of freshly baked brioche and sweet hay. Notes of stewed apple and golden honey and balancing sweetness.

Palate: The palate is layered and intriguing, with dry, wispy smoke weaving through earthy tones and subtle liquorice. Oily richness coats the mouth, complemented by the comforting sweetness of malt cake.

Finish: Persistent with crisp green apples lingering alongside the warm, comforting sweetness of malty biscuits. Subtle hints of spice and gentle, integrated oak add depth, resulting in a particularly clean and coherent dram.
