Blair Athol is renowned for its rich, characterful spirit and distinctive Highland style. This single cask release has been matured exclusively in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel, a perfect match that enhances the distillery's natural depth and elegance while allowing its classic character to shine through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Buttery shortbread biscuits are laced with golden syrup and are joined by apple turnovers alongside crumbled cashew nuts. Gentle white pepper and split vanilla pods offer a warm complexity.

Palate: A syrupy and thick arrival delivers baked apples, pastry cases and a dash of tart lemon juice. The mid-palate offers additional patisserie delights from ice buns and orchard turnovers.

Finish: Lingering on brown-sugar sprinkled apples with a refined oak influence.
