Douglas Laing's Big Peat is a feisty Islay character with a sweet side. This is a small batch bottling, without colouring or chill-filtration and only contains Islay Malt Whiskies, including Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and (even the now closed) Port Ellen to name but a few!

Big Peat's 2026 Fèis Ìle Edition is "His" ultimate celebration of Islay, built upon "his" classic marriage of single malts from the island's most renowned distilleries, then elevated through a finishing period in exceptional Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Feisty Islay Peat smoke with sweet bonfire embers, rich dried fruits of fig and date, and freshly roasted coffee.

Taste: Sweet, smoky and indulgent, revealing layers of toasted walnut, cocoa and velvety Pedro Ximénez Sherry richness.

Finish: Long, warming and velvety, with a decadent dryness carried by enduring peat smoke.
