Arran Machrie Moor 46% Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
The classic fresh Arran Malt character with a puff of peat smoke. Bottled at 46% without chill filtration or added colouring, this peated Arran Single Malt displays all the freshness of our island house style, with an added puff of smoke and earthiness.
Since 2019, all peated production of whisky on the island has been done by Lochranza's sister distillery at Lagg. This is your chance to buy and taste some of the original peated whisky from Arran, produced in Lochranza, before it is all gone!
On the west coast of the Isle of Arran lies a windswept and mystical peat bog called Machrie Moor. Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones are strewn across its barren, undulating terrain. One of the stone circles is known as Fingal’s Cauldron Seat, where sits a stone with a carved hole. The legendary warrior giant Fingal is said to have tethered his favourite dog Bran to this stone. This peated expression of the Arran Single Malt perfectly captures the rugged beauty and lore of the landscape. Unleash the legend that is Machrie Moor.

Isle of Arran Distillery
The Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland is both beautiful and unique. With its mountains, lowlands, glens, lochs and royal castles, it has all the scenery of Scotland and is affectionately known as ‘Scotland in Miniature’.
Their first distillery was built in the foothills of the village of Lochranza in 1994 and the first spirit ran from the stills on 29th June 1995 bringing legal distillation back to Arran after more than 150 years. It was a brand new enterprise and since that first day in June 1995 when the first ever cask was filled, it has gone on to produce the world class Arran Single Malt Whisky which has won international acclaim.
Isle of Arran Distillers remains the only whisky producer on the island and they are the proud owners of two stunning Single Malt distilleries, Lochranza in the north and Lagg Distillery in the south which opened in June 2019 and is home to the future heavily-peated Lagg Single Malt. These are certainly exciting times for this innovative island company who celebrated their 25th Anniversary in 2020.
