Speyside Whiskies
Speyside, as the name suggests, borders most of the River Spey on the easter side of the Highlands, and can boast the most distilleries of any region in Scotland.
You can expect elegance and complexity from a Speyside malt. The flow of water over granite hills and through peat moors adds a subtle, refined smokiness to many of the whiskies, while the sheltered nature of the terrain gives a gentle, delicate quality to the palate.
