NEW - Uncharted Whisky Co. "Park Life" Highland 22 Year Old 55% Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
Here is an insight into the life of an indy bottler… Sometimes, fantastic liquids land on the table of small independents like us. It’s a challenge to navigate- the liquids often come with a caveat such as “this was distilled at this particular fantastic distillery, but you can’t use the name on the bottles”. It’s difficult because the liquid and the price are great, but the customer wants transparency about what they are drinking, which is fair enough.
So then they have to put on their thinking caps and work out the best way to keep everyone happy. So here is Park Life, a short series of bottlings from a particularly delicious distiller’s repertoire in the Highland region of Scotland (if you didn’t know, all the islands of Scotland are in the Highland region except Islay). This isn’t from Islay. Or Mull. Or Skye. Or Jura. Or Arran.
This liquid has been aged in a refill sherry wood. It’s not a strong sherry influence at all, but the liquid is stunningly complex. This is a fantastic dram that is distillery-character-forward, not wood-forward.
As always, un-chill filtered, un-coloured, un-faffed about with.
