NEW - Aberargie Inaugural Release 48.2% Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
Aberargie Distillery in Perthshire is a true barley-to-bottle enterprise, and their spirit is crafted with patience, intention, and an uncompromising respect for tradition. Distilled, matured, and bottled under one roof at Aberargie Distillery, this limited inaugural release captures both the character of place and the considered choices that define the Aberargie style.
The DNA of Aberargie can be distilled down to four key pillars: Golden Promise Heritage Barely, Laurette Barley (both grown on their own farms), First Fill Bourbon Casks and First Fill Sherry Casks. These pillars make up the Aberargie Inaugural release, with percentages of each outlined on the back label.
The barley is 100% Farm Grown:
- Golden Promise, prized for its rich, rounded flavour and historic significance in Scotch whisky, brings depth and texture.
- Laureate barley adds balance and clarity, contributing to a spirit that is both expressive and refined. Together, they form the foundation of Aberargie’s house character from the very first release.
Maturation in 100% first-fill casks:
- Bourbon casks are sourced directly from the United States and shipped whole, unrinsed, and non-steamed to preserve their full character and flavour.
- Our Oloroso and PX sherry casks are likewise sourced directly from Miquel Martin and shipped whole, ensuring maximum integrity and depth.

Baked apples and golden pastry, balanced by sultanas and prunes, and finished with a lingering herbal note.
Aberargie Distillery
"All in good time, in our own way, under one roof. All for the love of whisky."
Aberargie isn’t just a new distillery – it’s the culmination of generations of knowledge, patience and unwavering commitment to whisky making.
Aberargie Distillery is right on the border between the Highland and Lowland regions, but unlike either in style. They use Golden Promise and Laureate barley from their own farms, distilled and then matured in first-fill bourbon and sherry casks, giving them complete control over flavour. This allows them to create a refined whisky that is true to its origins and to be enjoyed in those moments worth waiting for.
The Morrison family’s name is woven into the fabric of Scotch whisky, with five generations working as grocers, brokers, blenders, bottlers, and distillers. From managing iconic distilleries to creating award-winning brands, their legacy is one of craftsmanship and tradition. Today, that legacy continues at Aberargie — a family-owned distillery on our own barley farm in Perthshire.
