Highland Whiskies

The Highland region is the largest whisky producing region, geographically, as it encompasses the Highland mainland and most of the Island whisky producers. The Island whiskies can be considered their own region, but for the sake of tradition we're keeping them all together!

Highland (and Island) whiskies are characterised by a rounded, robust and dry character with just a hint of smoke/peat. Those distilled near the sea carry an additional salty, maritime element, and those from further north take on a heathery, spiced note. In the more sheltered regions, a fruity palate prevails. The Highlands truly offer something for everyone!
