The Pea Green Boat - Cheese Sablés
Founded in 2011 by Maddy Corbin, The Pea Green Boat established itself in Edinburgh producing incredibly tasty home made products to an ever-growing and loyal fan base.
In 2017 The Sunday Times gave The Pea Green Boat's Original Cheese Sablés a five-star rating, listing them as the best cheese biscuit on the market.
All three varieties have been winners of the coveted Great Taste Awards year on year and are deliciously more-ish little biscuits made with lots of Scottish cheddar and Italian Parmesan, butter and organic flour.
We believe there is no rival to these delicious and exceptionally cheesy morsels. Enjoy with wine and other drinks, for picnics or as a unique canapé base. They're irresistible straight from the box or hot out of the oven.
Now, based in Leith, Edinburgh The Pea Green Boat has joined up with Shortbread House of Edinburgh stocking independant farm shops, food halls and delis up and down the country.
Shortbread House is a small, family run bakery based in Scotland's historic capital city of Edinburgh. Anthony Laing and his wife Fiona acquired the business in 1989. Since then, it has grown from a small customer base in Scotland to having customers throughout the UK and abroad.
Their products are genuinely made by hand, so their taste, texture and appearance are quite different from the mass produced brands. They use the very best quality ingredients to create their shortbread without shortcuts and the Cheese Sablés are all still made with The Pea Green Boat's original basic recipe but with two additional varieties: Cumin and Fennel & Chilli.
