Our giant 8kg Easter Egg was donated to the Ayrshire Hospice

Yesterday I made a special visit to the Ayrshire Hospice in Ayr to deliver our giant 8kg luxury Easter Egg.  Both the fundraising office staff and all of us at Geraldo's are hugely grateful to Mr Alec Briggs of Inverary who won our Easter Egg raffle last week and very generously asked that the egg be donated to a local charity.
.
.
Many of you will know that my dad, Gerald (Geraldo), who the shop is named after, was treated there before he died in 2005, so it's a charity that's very close to my heart.
.
.
The long, slow car journey there was very worrying but I had my little helper, Harvey, with me to make sure the egg arrived safely and in one piece along with a box of chocolates from Mr Briggs for the Hospice staff.
.
.
The Hospice fundraising team requested permission to use our giant egg as a way of raising even more funds and so, with the permission of Mr Briggs, it's continuing to do just that.
.
If you pop over to their Facebook page you can enter their competition to win the egg and free entry for two people into their Starlight Walk on the 18th of May.
.
Good luck to everyone who enters and another massive thank you for the incredible generosity of Mr Briggs.
