Springbank Distillery is the only distillery in Scotland to carry out 100% of the production process on one site. For them, this means unrivalled quality control and the opportunity to pour decades of experience and passion into every drop of their world-class whisky.
This delightful 25 Year Old from Springbank Distillery is matured in a mix of Sherry (65%) and Bourbon (35%) casks. Expect notes of intense cherry menthol on the nose, followed by a sugary palate complemented by tart liquorice and a subtle background peat smoke.

Tasting Notes
Nose: On the nose, we get intense cherry menthol sweets, rich blood orange, milk chocolate, stewed fruits and apple crumble.
Taste: We pick up lots of musty, earthy and oily notes from this whisky. There’s also subtle peat smoke, which is only apparent in the background. There’s demerara sugar, strawberry confectionery, liquorice and walnuts.
Finish: This is a well-balanced dram with a slight herbaceous note of tarragon and savoury deli meats in the finish.

Springbank Distillery
Springbank distillery is the oldest independent, family-owned distillery in Scotland. Legal distillation began in 1828. The chairman is Hedley Wright, the great, great grandson of John Mitchell, the first legal distiller of Springbank whisky.
There are a few Scottish distilleries that still malt their own barley but Springbank is the only distillery which malts 100% of its own barley, using the traditional floor maltings. The whole production process: malting, milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling, happens on the one site in Campbeltown. This is unique in Scotland.
Three malt whiskies are produced at Springbank distillery, each with its own character. Springbank which is 80% of production, is lightly peated and distilled two and a half times. Longrow is more heavily peated and distilled two times. Hazelburn is unpeated and distilled three times.
