Lochlea 'Fallow Edition' (Second Crop) 46% Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl - Oct 2023 Release
Lochlea Distillery is returning with a new series of seasonal, small-batch releases showcasing their signature style in four unique ways across the year.
In ‘Fallow Edition’ (Second Crop), they've chosen a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks to create a beautifully rich, autumnal dram that has a very different flavour profile to ‘Fallow Edition’ (First Crop). The Oloroso butts give rich notes of manuka honey and golden syrup, whilst the introduction of the PX casks provides warming layers of sweetly spiced ginger candy and ground coffee beans.
The third in a new set of four limited editions, ‘Fallow Edition’ (Second Crop), reflects the season of autumn on the farm when the fields are left fallow to rest after a busy harvest.

Lochlea is an independently owned distillery under the management of ex-Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell. Having built up one of the top ten Scotch brands in the world over the past 27 years, John brings a wealth of knowledge and a burning ambition to help Lochlea fulfil its potential.
Rooted in Scottish history, Robert Burns called Lochlea his home throughout his formative years, from 1777 through until his father’s death in 1784. By day, Burns worked hard on the farm and in the evening he enjoyed the company of his friends, debating at the Bachelors Club in nearby Tarbolton. This location has inspired the honest, passionate and progressive nature of Lochlea whisky.
