The ninth edition of Glengyle Distillery's Heavily Peated Malt combines flavours of cream soda and fruit with a sharp, peat-filled finish to create a delicious and unique dram.
This release of Heavily Peated Kilkerran brings with it a new label, as it moves from a developmental whisky on to a fully established core range product released twice per year. Batch numbers will still be highlighted on the back label.
Maturation: 90% Bourbon, 10% Sherry
Bottled at 59.2%.
No artificial colour and non-chill filtered.

Tasting notes
Nose: Notes of freshly baked shortbread, cream soda, banana loaf and coconut shavings introduce this heavily peated dram.
Palate: The creamy, vanilla notes carry through to the palate in notes of buttered digestive biscuits and custard creams.
Finish: The peat is prominent in the finish, along with hints of gooseberries to round off this dram.
Glengyle Distillery
Kilkerran whisky is distilled in Campbeltown, from barley to bottle at Mitchell’s Glengyle Distillery. Re-opened in 2004 after originally operating from 1872-1925, Mitchell’s Glengyle is under the ownership of Mr Hedley Wright, chairman of Springbank Distillery and descendant of Glengyle’s founder William Mitchell.
