The Springbank Vintage series is a collection of limited annual releases launched to showcase some of the distillery's oldest whiskies. This inaugural edition replaces the 25 Year Old Springbank.
Each expression has enjoyed a generous maturation period, demonstrating the impact of time on the spirit and presenting the familiar character of older Springbank with the influence of a range of high-quality casks. This whisky has been matured in Sherry casks since 1998 and bottled at cask strength.
Expect notes of medjool dates and chocolate on the nose, followed by an earthier palate with notes of shortbread, brandy and cloves. The finish is woody with notes of nutmeg and crystallised ginger.

Springbank Distillery
Springbank distillery is the oldest independent, family-owned distillery in Scotland. Legal distillation began in 1828. The chairman is Hedley Wright, the great, great grandson of John Mitchell, the first legal distiller of Springbank whisky.
There are a few Scottish distilleries that still malt their own barley but Springbank is the only distillery which malts 100% of its own barley, using the traditional floor maltings. The whole production process: malting, milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling, happens on the one site in Campbeltown. This is unique in Scotland.
