Red Cap Raspberry Gin Liqueur
Distilled by husband and wife team, June and Cameron McCann at Stirling Gin Distillery, this Red Cap Raspberry Gin Liqueur is part of their new Folklore Collection.
This raspberry liqueur gets its name from the mythological and murderous Red Cap goblin, a malevolent being who inhabits ruined castles, soaks his cap in the blood of his victims and leads unwary walkers astray. Sounds ominous!
Bottled at between 25% and 27%, Red Cap Liqueur uses Stirling Gin as its base – the gin is macerated with locally-sourced raspberries for up to ten days before being hand-pressed and bottled with just a touch of sugar. The result is an incredibly fresh and fruity liqueur with a bold raspberry palate and smooth gin finish.
Recommended serves are either over ice or as a dash in your favourite fizz with a fresh raspberry to garnish.
