NEW Recipe Kings Ginger Liqueur
The King’s Ginger is the emphatically ginger liqueur that was specifically formulated by Berry Bros. in 1903 for King Edward VII. Rich and zesty, it was created to stimulate and revivify His Majesty and has been appreciated by many ever since.
The King’s Ginger is created by the careful maceration of ginger root enlivened by the addition of citrus in the form of lemon peel. Although warming on a cold day as originally intended, it is an uplifting tonic to be enjoyed on its own all year round as well a great base for a number of cocktails and long drinks.
Net weight: 1.3kg
Colour: Hay and straw, rich golden syrup.
Nose: It is unmistakably Ginger – a cloud of fresh natural ginger with a faint aura of zesty lemon swiftly entices the first sip.
Palate: The initial flow of ginger syrup sweetness is gently interrupted by the tingle of fresh ginger and a subtle and gentle uplift of lemon citrus. Warm, fulfilling and of great length.
