Celebrating whisky legend Billy Walker's 50 years in the industry, The GlenAllachie have launched this first bottling of their Anniversary Trilogy.
Billy is renowned for his unrivalled cask management expertise. Throughout his 50-year spell in the industry, he has acquired an extensive understanding of whisky maturation; selecting the finest casks, continually evaluating the ageing spirit, re-racking into new wood to elevate the flavour experience, and determining the perfect time for bottling.
This 100% sherry matured malt represents Billy’s past, when he made a name for himself by releasing rich and indulgent heavily sherried expressions. This experience means he is perfectly placed to develop an exceptional celebratory single malt from nine personally selected 2005 vintage Spanish sherry butts. The resulting liquid is overflowing with rich espresso, heather honey, glazed figs and sweet spices – the archetypal Billy Walker style.
Non chill filtered, natural colour and only 4000 bottles available for this limited release.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep Mahogany.
Nose: Waves of walnuts, heather honey and subtle dried fruits, followed by bursts of toasted coffee, orange peel and cinnamon sticks.
Taste: Lashings of fig syrup, caramelised muscovado sugar and roasted pine nuts with notes of heather honey, crystalised ginger and dried apricots.
Billy Walker
Graduating from the University of Glasgow in 1967 with a degree in Chemistry, a youthful Billy Walker had the perfect foundations to enable him to build an intimate knowledge of the science behind whisky making and flavour development.
His whisky journey began in 1972, working across extremely popular global brands, sometimes covering all aspects of production. This spell continued for thirty long years before an entrepreneurial Billy decided to go it alone.
It was at this point in his career that Billy truly made a name for himself within the industry as the leader behind the rejuvenation and subsequent phenomenal success of his distilleries.
This leads us to Billy’s current position as owner and Master Distiller at The GlenAllachie,
where he now celebrates achieving an extraordinary half-century in the industry. This
incredible record of success has earnt Billy widespread acclaim and recognition for being one of the most prominent whisky figures of his generation.
