It was a brand new enterprise and since that first day in June 1995 when the first ever cask was filled, it has gone on to produce the world class Arran Single Malt Whisky which has won international acclaim.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIsle of Arran Distillers remains the only whisky producer on the island and they are the proud owners of two stunning Single Malt distilleries, Lochranza in the north and Lagg Distillery in the south which opened in June 2019 and is home to the peated Lagg Single Malt. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGraham Omand, Lagg Distillery Manager, worked as a stillman at their Lochranza Distillery at the north end of Arran for several years learning from his uncle, former Lochranza Master Distiller James MacTaggart.
